CSL Biotherapies' Afluria (trivalent, inactivated, split virus influenza vaccine) is now available for the 2008-2009 flu season. CSL plans to deliver approximately 6 million doses of Afluria, with the majority of doses being supplied as single-dose, thimerosal-free, prefilled-syringes.

Afluria is indicated for active immunization of individuals ≥18 years of age against influenza virus types A and B.
