Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis and tinea versicolor of the skin.
Pharmacology:
Seborrheic dermatitis is a topical inflammatory condition that causes flaky, white-yellow scales in oily areas of the skin where sebaceous glands are found, such as the scalp. Tinea versicolor also occurs around sebaceous glands but presents as discolored light or dark spots with fine scales caused by a fungal infection.
Although the exact mechanism of action of topically applied selenium sulfide is not yet know, Tersi Foam appears to inhibit epidermal cell growth by reducing the production of corneocytes, the enucleated flattened cells in the outermost layer of the epidermis.
Adults:

Children:
Not recommended.
Precautions:
Avoid eyes, lips, broken or inflamed skin, mucous membranes. Discontinue if redness or irritation occurs. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers.
